Mommie Dearest, 2012

About the work:

Mommie Dearest’, explores the biblical reference where the Lion is said to lay down with the lamb to illustrate a utopian view of nature.
A convenient neatly packaged perception of the natural world living according to human morality and value systems. The underpinning idea
here explores human anxiety towards nature and our fear of it’s ‘godlessness’.

Did you know?

The Lioness is from South Africa and died of natural causes, the lamb were all still born.

Below are preliminary roughs for the installation from my sketchbook.
